Visitors may access Weir Point from Maine Inland Fish & Wildlife (MEIFW)’s Commissary Point parking lot, or by water from Whiting Bay.
Shorefront Access: 5,700 ft of Shorefront.
Hiking Trails: A half-mile wooded trail leads to the Weir Point trail. From the Weir Point hiking trail enjoy expansive views north into Whiting Bay and more sheltered waters in Weir Cove to the south. The Weir Cove hiking trail is 2.5 miles round trip from the Commissary Point parking lot.
Paddle Trails: The Weir Point beach is a 3.25 mile paddle (each way) from Cobscook Shores’ Whiting Bay Beach park and a 2.0 mile paddle (each way) from the Little Augusta hand-carry launch (Maine Bureau of Parks and Land) on Route 1.
